I downloaded the free student version,of flex PDE and I bought the "Simple fields of physics via amazon.com

I have written the code shown in the text, hoping I would not have any issues. No such luck, I followed the problem on gravitation verbatim and proceeded to compile it and see the results but I keep getting an error message; "only specially coded programs can run without a license"

Can someone PLEASE tell me how I may correct this problem??
Also, can I write my own scripts and run them in the program??

The download will run in evaluation mode until you provide a license key. You can request a free student license by going to www.pdesolutions.com/student5.html and selecting the "Request License" button.

We are working on a version for Professor Backstrom that combines the student functionality into the evaluation version (i.e. no need for a license) but that has not been completed yet.

Once you have a student license, you will be able to run your own scripts within the student restrictions (5 equations and 100/800/1600 nodes in 1D/2D/3D.)
