PDE Solutions Inc. offers FlexPDE 5 in a special limited version for student use or evaluation purposes. This special student version is Free! Download the demo version and install it on your computer. You will immediately be able to run over 100 sample problems in full professional mode. Then fill out the request form requesting the Free student license. Include your name and affiliation, and we will send you by return Email a license key unlocking the student mode of operation. The student version of FlexPDE 5 is limited to 100 nodes in 1D, 800 nodes in 2D and 1600 nodes in 3D. It also restricts the number of simultaneous equations to five (Notice that this allows such advanced computations as contaminant transport, 3D thermoelasticity, three-component 2D chemical reaction kinetics and many other difficult problems). The download includes documentation in Help or Html format. For documentation in PDF format for local printing, see the FlexPDE Bookstore. With a Professional license we send hardcopy documentation and installation CD. Student license holders can order these separately for US$50.
Because this is a free
license, we cannot offer
free support. Please
read carefully the User Guide and Reference Manual included in
the distribution. Study the example problems included in the
distrubution. Download and read the
Application Manual.
