Hyperelastic Modelling of Soft Tissues

Hello ,

As I tried to model the Neo-Hookean material behaviour on FlexPDE, I have some difficulties on optimising the code.
So, What I have done so far is that I have defined the inverse of deformation gradient to insert the displacement variables like (U,V,W) , and afterwards the left-Cauchy green tensor has been defined for applying it in the Neo-Hookean model. Also parameters like Shear,Young modulus have been defined .
The question is , has anyone used this method for calculating the stress-strain relationship of the hyperelastic behaviour of soft tissues or rubbers?


P.S. the reason that I've applied the inv of deformation is that I have variables (U,V,W) in current configuration and the deformation tensor is ident plus the partial derivative of u by X in reference configuration.( F = I + Gradu = I + du/dX)
