Hi, I've just downloaded version 3.10a for windows and registered to get a student key. I've copied it to the correct folder on my machine, but when I start up FlexPDE it tells me that the key is missing or invalid! Does anyone have any advice for anything I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Liz | ||

Sometimes the automatic student key generation system fails. Sometimes the receiving email system garbles the key file. In general, the correct procedure is to copy the "flexpde.key" file to the same directory as the executable "flexpde3.exe". Do not open the file with a word processor. Do not double click it on windows, because windows will then put it in the registry. If all this fails, send an email to student@pdesolutions.com requesing a student key. We will send you a manually generated key by return email. |
