Is it possible to obtain the fuctional form of an elevation plot in FlexPDE 4. Plese help.

FlexPDE does not have a built-in facility for finding analytic fits to arbitrary data.

You could export the data and use an external data-fitting program to do it.

Or, you could explicitly form the coefficients of an orthogonal-function expansion by integrating the products of your data with the various orders of your chosen functions. See a textbook on expansion by orthogonal functions.

please tell me if it is possible to generate an ASCII out put for an elevation plot. then it will be possible for me to get the functional form of the curve I want using another graph processing s/w.
