Is it possible to run FlexPDE on a linux server, then log out, and come back to see the results later? I tried the commands provided in the last page of the manual (-R, -X, -Q, and so on), but none worked. Everytime I logged off and back in, FlexPDE disappeared. Thank you. |

FlexPDE uses the QT cross-platform library and connects with the X-Server regardless of whether it is run in "silent" mode or not. Anything that breaks the connection with the X-Server will cause FlexPDE to terminate. Appending a "&" at the end of the command line will cause FlexPDE to be run in the background, but I don't know if this will allow you to logout without breaking the connection to the X-Server. |

I already tried "&", but still FlexPDE terminated. I guess I will have to keep logged in while running it then. Thanks for your reply! |
