Dear Members,

Since it is recommended to use a proper initial condition for a transient problem, I am thinking of storing the result (for e.g. temperature distribution) of my steady state analysis to a file, and then read the file for my transient analysis with exactly the same geometry model. Is it possible to do this in FLEXPDE ?

Any hints and help are appreciated.

Thanks,

Liem.

This is standard practice. See TRANSFER in the Help index, and the examples "Transfer_out.pde", "Transfer_In.pde", Mesh_Out.pde" and "Mesh_In.pde" in the "Samples | Misc | Import-Export" folder ("Samples | Misc" in versions before 4.1.1).

Dear Robert,

Thank you very much. I misunderstood the TRANSFER feature in the Ref Manual. It works perfectly.

Liem.
