Is there a limit on mesh_spacing in FlexPDE? If so, is there any trick such limit can be overridden?
I am simulating a simple non-uniform electric field where the electrode geometry is point-and-plane. To get better results I tried to increase the mesh_spacing around the point electrode from 1e-3 to 1e-4 and was given the tangling message.
Please help.

Sometimes you get tangling if there is too rapid a transition from large to small cells. You may need to have some intermediate MESH_SPACING value for nearby regions.

There is no explicit limit on the value you can enter for MESH_SPACING.

If you attach your *.pde file, we can take a look.

Thanks Marek for your help; I've found an alternative way of reducing the size of mesh elements without actually reducing the "mesh_spacing" itself. Hope that works.
