How do I switch off the plots getting directly saved in .pg5 file. Its size becoming very big for my time domain problem. I don't need the pg5 file as I can save my results in a text file for later post processing. Please advice.

1) PLOTS go into the .PG5 file, MONITORS do not. Otherwise, they are the same. If you don't want a plot in the output file, put it in the MONITORS section.

2) In time-dependent problems, the "FOR T=..." control can be used to send only a few selected times to the output file. You can have any number of time groups. Put frequent reports in the MONITORS section, and infrequent ones in the PLOTS section.

See Help->Problem Descriptor Reference->the Sections of a Descriptor->Monitors and Plots.
