I have Vista Ultimate. I would like to write some code for a particular problem but I am new to FLex and I am not sure which text editor I should use.

FlexPDE has a built-in script editor. It doesn't have a lot of fancy features, but if you are just writing scripts, you don't need to use an external editor. It also has syntax highlighting to help clarify the script.

If you want to use an external editor, use a "programming" editor that does not imbed text formatting symbols in the file.
