Hello

From time to time I only need the output that I arrange to have written to a file and I would be able to use flexpde from home if it didn't require X. I log in using ssh and x11forwarding is disabled.

Is there a flag that skips all of the X11 stuff?

Thanks
Kevin

The GUI is so imbedded in the structure of FlexPDE, we cannot eliminate it without significant work.

You can run FlexPDE from a command line and use the -q (quiet) switch to force it to run in minimized non-interactive mode. This leaves merely the icon on the task bar. The -display switch is also active, so if there is a display you can send the icon to, you should be able to run from your terminal without graphics interaction.
