Hi all...
I am using FPDE 2.22. I am trying to implement a simple BC in a heat transfer problem. Basically a convective BC at the gap between two surfaces close to each other. This BC at surface 1 is stated:

k.dTemp/dn + h(Temp1-Temp2) = 0

where Temp1 and Temp2 are the local temperatures of surfaces 1 and 2, and h is the convection coefficient in the gap. in FPDE language this is:

natural(Temp) = -h(Temp1-Temp2)

The problem is that I do not know how, in FlexPDE, to get the local nodal temperatures of surface 2 in the case of the above BC. Any suggestions? Please help. Thank you.

A Follow-up: I figured out an answer to this question by the use of the upulse(a,b) function in FlexPDE, where a, b are negative, positive arguments that are calculated in terms of the spatial postion of surface 2 and nodal temperature Temp2 of surface 2 is calculated using the uplse() nodal values. If someone knows of a better way to do this, I 'd like to know. Thank you.
