Hello,

I've read nothing about adaptative refinement with FlexPDE ? Is it possible to compute adaptative finite elemnt method ? If OK , how ?
Thank you for your answer(s).

Flexpde has supported adaptive mesh refinement since its inception in 1997, as did our former product PDEase2 since 1991.

Our "Product Info" web page lists "Dynamic Adaptive Mesh Refinement" as a major feature of FlexPDE, and links to our page www.pdesolutions.com/adaptive.html, where you will see a movie of mesh refinement following a fluid front.

There is no "how". It does it by default. You have to specifically ask to turn it off.

"Help | User_Guide | Overview | How Does It Do It?" lists "Adaptive Mesh Refinement" as a primary component of the FlexPDE system.

But you're right, we have not made a big enough issue of this in the documentation. We will add a chapter extolling the virtues of this particular feature.
