I had run a flex pde code in which I had defined sub-domains within the main region domain. Some of these defined sub-domains were located at the regional boundaries of other defined sub-domains. The code ran smoothly in flex pde 5. However upon upgrading to flex pde 6, I am encountering problems running the code as it has problems generating mesh in those regions where there is overlap of sub-domains especially at the boundaries. Could you please let me know what the problem here is? I presume in flex pde 5 the boundary conditions were simply over-written for the overlapping sub-domains and should be the same for flex pde 6.

If you post your script (*.pde) file, we can take a look at it.

In version 6 we added functionality to allow the user to define rotated ellipses in the domain. There was an error introduced that caused the gridder to be sensitive to the absolute size of the ellipse and "drop out" those that were extremely small, like yours. So your elliptical macrophage and leukocyte regions were being dropped out.

We have fixed this error in version 6.14. A pre-release has been posted at www.pdesolutions.com/download/xfpde614x4win.exe . This is a self extracting archive of the executable only, not a full install. Copy the file into your existing installation directory (default is C:\FlexPDE6) overwriting the existing file, or rename the old file before installing.

Hi Mark,
I have uploaded the above mentioned patch to my computer and it is working fine now. However, my colleague is having problems downloading the patch. On attempting to access the link, it always shows up the error message (404 not found). Could you kindly let me know if there is any other way I can access this?
Thanks,
Saptarshi

The formal release of version 6.14 contains this fix and can be downloaded at www.pdesolutions.com/sdmenu6.html . The pre-release that you downloaded was temporary until the formal release of 6.14, that is why it is no longer accessible.
