The solver fails on the sample file beam_uniform_load.pde with error (below)

Is there a fix?

Error: Solver Failed.
Your system appears to have no unique solution.
It may be overdetermined or underdetermined.
(One common cause is all natural boundary conditions)

We do not have a sample file named "beam_uniform_load.pde".
Where did this example come from?
Can you post the script?
