Is it possible to easily generate a perfectly regular grid in which all elements are the same size and node spacing is perfectly uniform?

I am running some benchmark variable desnity problems. Some of them are not behaving correctly when the adaptive meshing is operating (apparently that causes some numerical dispersion, obvisously. For comparison to other codes a perfect regular mesh would be preferable,

thanks
