Although I love FlexPDE as a general numerical simulation tool, if you want a really powerful tool for metal casting I'd strongly suggest you look into Flow3D. It has a lot of features specific to free surface fluid flow and specific models for many aspects of casting. It's expensive, but capable of doing some very good modeling. Expect to invest at least 3 months. |
