With v5.0.7-9 the transfer funtion seems not to be working. Same scripts run on V2.22 works fine (i.e. transfer files come/go in the target directory as expected). No errors are generated. The files simply don't appear. Has the implementation of transfer(u) changed in later versions? I see nothing in the docs. to suggest a change. My OS is WinXP Pro. Help/Thanks!

Found the problem. Newer versions apparently REQUIRE 'for t=transfer_time' construct prior to transfer(u) in time-dependent problems, even if you only want one file dumped at the end.

Plot commands (including TRANSFERs) are listed and executed by comparing their time controls with the current problem time. If there is no time control, the plot will never be seen.

FlexPDE has been substantially rewritten since version 2. I don't know what characteristics of the version 2 code might have allowed it to generate the transfer without a time control.
