In the status window, I can get the number of nodes or cells used in whole domain. But I need more detailed information about the mesh or elements in the local domain. In a 3D model including several compartments, how the number of cells or nodes in each region (or compartment) can be achieved?

There is no regional report of node numbers, but if you export data using the VTK, VTKLIN, TECPLOT, or TRANSFER formats, you will get a file with detailed mesh information. The mesh data in these files are segmented by material number (that is, all regions with the same material parameters are grouped together). Define a phony data item with different values in each region to guarantee region separation. You can control the minimum mesh density in a region using the MESH_SPACING commands. See the Help Index. |
