Hi Mark, I have this simple diffusion-reaction kinetics steady state problem in 2D cylindrical co-ordinate system. The effect of effusion or species transport due to convection has also been taken in account though only along the axial direction. The velocity is represented in the form of a parabolic function. The problem I am facing is as follows: 1) In the diffusion-kinetic equation of one of the species; one of its mass loss term equals to the rate of formation of another species. This species however does not move due to diffusion but only is transported by effusion in axial direction. 2) Due to the above, I have 3 PDE's and one ODE. ODE is a function of z and not time. Thus use of global variable option does not work. 3) Could you kindly suggest me how to work around it. Regards, Saptarshi |

The other thing I forgot to mention is that in certain regions within the domain, the velocity has a value of zero. It appears to me that this is contributing to the problem. |
