Hello I like the fact that flexpde can export to tecplot, which is a great fem plotting package. However, it would be nice if each region were a separate tecplot zone. Is there any plans of including this as an option? Alternatively, is the a description of the file format the flexpde uses? This would allow users to write there own conversion tools. Thanks Kevin |

When creating TecPlot output, FlexPDE generates a separate "Zone" for each material in the problem. Materials are defined by regions of identical parameter values. So if your problem does not naturally have different material parameters in the regions of interest, you can define a dummy name, like "Zone", and give it different values in different regions. This will force each different value to be presented to TecPlot as a separate zone.
