Apple has done something in Snow Leopard that crashes our text display. It does not happen on our in-house Mac machines, and so far we have heard reports of trouble only on laptops (is that what yours is?). Since we can't watch it happen, it's hard to debug, but we will continue to try to identify the source of the problem. One user reports that printing to PDF results in correct representation. This is clearly a stopgap, but it might allow you to function until a cure is discovered.

I tested PDF and works fine. I´m using snow leopard. I believe the problem will be solved soon. Thank you , Patricio |

I had the same problem with the text in Snow Leopard. I was able to fix it by turning off LCD font smoothing in the 'Appearance' pane of System Preferences. Explains why it only affects laptops. |
