Is it possible to insert a small cylinder in a big cone? I always have probleme with "crossed" surfaces! I tried to use surface with 'void' and I do not succeed....If someone know it would be very helpfull

This is a little more difficult to accomplish. You need to be very exact in your surface definitions. The surfaces cannot be discontinuous or crossed. The cylinder must be created with a region, not just by a surface, because the sidewalls would be discontinuous as a surface.

I have modified the script from the thread http://www.pdesolutions.com/discus/messages/4/556.html but it was quite tricky to create.

The superposition of three cones that you show is actually just one cone with three layers (as far as FlexPDE is concerned.) This should simplify the construction significantly.

As long as you have clipped the top of the cone, there should be no problem with an angle less then 10 degrees. Perhaps you are running into a Student version node limit?
